My Name’5 Doddie Charity Duck Family
DINKY DODDIE WAISTCOAT DUCK -
please make sure to correctly choose delivery or in store collection
I am proud to present to you the next Duck in the fight against MND in support of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation - please welcome -
Dinky Doddie Waistcoat Duck.
This cute chap stands around 11/12cm tall and comes in a presentation box. Painted with the Foundation tartan on his waistcoat, he is a miniature (Dinky) of the original Doddie Duckling produced last year. The idea came from seeing the tartan waistcoated Ducklings produced by DCUK and thinking how well they might sell in aid of the Foundation.
VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ - The Doddie Duck products are limited to TWO per order for delivery, you may have two of the Biker or two of the Waistcoat or one of each but only two fit in the box for £5.95 - you may order more with separate delivery. You may order as many as you wish (if in stock) for in store collection. If ordering other products alongside for delivery, please can you check out the Ducks first?
APPLE PAY - important note - the default is set to in store pick up, please make sure you have selected shipping if required, you will know when it comes to check out if the amount is £25 or £50 you have NOT selected shipping and then you have to get in touch and we have to organise an extra payment to me for shipping which is extra transaction fees - so please make sure to check your order includes shipping if required.
All profits from the sale of the wee wooden wonders goes to the charitable foundation My Name’5 Doddie.
THE PRODUCT - The ducks are hand carved in Indonesia from sustainable bamboo root and bear hand painted jerseys/boots/helmets/waistcoats depending on the family member in the foundation tartan, they also have a cotton tag with My Name’5 Doddie.
The foundation was set up in 2017 after local (to us) former Scotland and British & Irish Lions rugby legend Doddie Weir was diagnosed with Moror Neurone Disease (MND), it provides support to people affected by MND as well as funding for research.
Doddie Ducks are a bespoke product and available only to buy through Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall online or in store. Online they are available at www.winterspringsummerandfall.co.uk the physical shop is currently closed but orders can be collected from the new shop at 41 Bank St Galashiels, TD1 1EP at a mutually agreed time.
When ordering if you would prefer to collect your duck in store, please make sure you change from the default shipping option which is deliver via Royal Mail 48hr Tracked, and is £5.95, to local pickup, which is free. The delivery option is on the page you click through to complete the sale and is the third box down.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - At busy times it may take longer for the orders to be despatched and time is not of the essence, I have to assemble the boxes, pack the boxes, buy the postage, print the postage labels, tape them to the boxes, get them to the sorting office and then update you all with tracking details, the packages then are required to be taken to the local delivery/sorting office which has limited opening hours. The 48hrs tracked is from the time it is scanned in at the post office delivery/sorting office, orders are usually despatched within 2 working days.
If you have selected local pick up then you will receive an email when the Dinky Doddie is ready for collection, in most cases it will be 1-2 days, please await the collection email before coming for your order, the ducks wont be available until the emails have been sent confirming the collection details, although there are Dinky Doddies in the shop for sale these are on a separate inventory and so cannot be used to fulfil the online orders.
Cart Hijacking! Even though you have the product in your cart, until payment has been confirmed and accepted at checkout, the product may still sell out. I have no control over this, its a mechanism set by most online shopping platforms to prevent ‘hijacking’ where products are left in baskets stopping other shoppers accessing them.
During busy periods it is difficult often to answer correspondence in relation to the Doddie Ducks and I ask you kindly to respect the sale of this product for what it is, a fundraiser. I know I have said it around twelvty billion times but I feel I must offer a reminder - I do not take orders for ducks - they must be bought either online or in store, I do not put ducks aside I simply cannot facilitate these requests for this product and so the fairest way is to have a blanket policy.
